Early one morning in Huddersfield, UK, Jodie Michell awoke to the sound of distressed meows coming from her yard. When she goes outside to investigate, she discovers a little tabby kitten meowing for assistance.
Her eyes were closed owing to a terrible illness, but as soon as she heard Jodie, she made a beeline for her, as if looking for comfort. She immediately calmed down and even began to purr when she felt Jodie’s touch.
Jodie, a cosmetics artist, saw the small lifeform’s need for assistance. To warm her up, she took her to work that morning.
–A frozen kitten, weak from hunger and afraid, sees them approaching and struggles to get free!
–They were abandoned on the side of a lonely mountain road in a box.
She took the kitten to the vet at midday for a full examination.
She weighed just 340 grams and had a serious case of cat flu, so the news was not good. They advised Jodie to put the small tabby to death since she only had a 50/50 chance of surviving.
