Sparrow, Who Had Lost Her Sight And Hearing Due To Abuse, Is Rescued By Beth Stern

Beth Stern, an author, actress, model, animal rights activist, kitten rescuer, and the wife of radio celebrity Howard Stern, told the story of Sparrow, a blind and deaf white cat that came into her care this summer.
Sparrow has one golden eye and one blue eye, and he’s won the hearts of tens of thousands of fans on the internet.
Unfortunately, the cat arrived with a bunch of other purebreds that were in desperate need of help. They were starved and confined in cramped cages with blaring heat lamps for days without food or drink.

“Little Sparrow is one of the Persian cats who was saved from a cramped cage crammed with six other cats, covered in a blanket, and surrounded by heat lights. “The individual who was torturing them in these appalling conditions was hospitalized for eight days before these kitties could be rescued,” Stern wrote.
After being kept without food or drink beneath the lights, all of the cats required rapid medical attention. Unfortunately, the blazing bulbs caused Sparrow to lose her vision. A photo of her from when she was for sale on the internet. As you can see, her eyes used to appear completely different, and she was presumably able to see and hear.
“She is permanently blind and deaf as a result of her small cage’s inadequate nourishment, malnutrition, and blaring heat lights. It must be terrifying for her to navigate her world like that when she was probably born wonderful. “Animal mistreatment is heinous,” Stern wrote.

Sparrow now required many drugs and was making sluggish but steady improvement. Both ears were infected with a deadly ear infection, but one was very bothersome. As a result, she required drops in her ears every day for several months.
At first, the cat snarled and refused to be handled. She did, however, come to like the soft human touch enough to purr after a few days. Even better, she had a strong appetite and was gaining weight.

Sparrow soon began to explore her limited, intimate surroundings. Despite her inability to see or hear, she liked traversing her new surroundings in search of the toys and things that had been put for her enjoyment.

She soon grew to enjoy her regular cuddling with Stern.

Then she started rubbing her tummy, which is a solid sign of a trusting, content cat. When Sparrow’s foster mother entered the room, she would immediately run. Sparrow constantly seemed to be aware of Stern’s presence.

Sparrow looked considerably better by the end of July and was playing with toys, utilizing her senses of scent and touch to locate them. She was also growing chatty, meowing for her foster mother. She was finally confident, healthy, and happy, and she had a small tummy to show for it. She then moved on to a larger room, where she saw a unique blanket with birds on it.

It would soon be time to let this feline soar to a new home after all of the daily love and TLC. We hear after a vet check that she is still deaf and blind, but that she is doing “great” work. She still needed ear drops for her “poor ear,” which was caused by a damaged eardrum. Meanwhile, she’d be showered with affection, including from tens of thousands of loving internet admirers.

Stern showed off a limited edition T-shirt with a charming Sparrow design called “Sparrow’s Bliss” one day. All of the funds went to help other cats like her. As a result, Sparrow became a celebrity, and his image could be found on people’s clothing all over the place.
Sparrow was ready to spread her wings after all the love and bonding, a sad time.

Finally, on the 27th, we learn that Sparrow has found a loving home. Her new mommy, as you can see, adores white cats!

Sparrow now has her own Instagram account, “mysweetiesparrow,” where you may follow her.

Sparrow’s everlasting home, as you can see, is where her biggest admirer lives.
