Some cats are never able to find a home. Others have it easier, and some are even thankful for it. That was precisely the case with a blind kitten discovered on the street in Cape Town, South Africa, last year.
An animal rescue group had brought her in as a single kitten. Her mother is believed to have been murdered, leaving the poor blind kitten alone. June the kitten, despite her evident disability, acts like any other cat. Her blindness doesn’t stop her from tearing about her new home at full speed.
June was adopted by a caring owner after spending several months with her foster mom Holly. The adorable kitten’s story was shared on the organization’s Facebook page, where it gained a lot of attention.
Andrew Duff saw June’s message and decided to adopt the kitten right immediately. He dialed the number and went to the shelter, where he was drawn to June right away.
So, what exactly did she do? She immediately hugged her new father. June was clearly relieved to have found a new loving home. We can only hope that other kittens abandoned on the street suffer the same fate.
