When Jazmin Felder heard meowing coming from a tree in her yard last year, she didn’t know what to do.
Felder noted, “I was raised to always take care of everything life provided to me.” “And every time a cat came knocking on my door, I gave them their own home and all of my affection.”
Buddy, the terrified stray, was overjoyed that someone had finally come to his rescue. Jazmin accepted him into her four-cat household with open arms. Felder said, “He was at the very top and he was so pleased to see someone that he came racing down to me.” “When we took him inside, he was overjoyed to be there.”
However, a completely new issue arose. Buddy didn’t appear to enjoy being around other cats. He’d simply retire to his own corner, entirely oblivious to the rest of the group. Things didn’t alter much until six months after Buddy came, when Felder took in a 5-week-old gray cat called Hannah.
Hannah, unlike Buddy, who is a quiet loner, was very friendly and gregarious. Felder described her as “very playful” and “loves to cuddle up with you and sleep.” “She’ll play with our dogs like she’s one of them.” And, for some reason, the two got along swimmingly. Perhaps it’s similar to the two poles of a magnet; opposites attract.
“When we initially brought Hannah home, Buddy came to visit her right away,” Felder said. “He had always been reticent and shy, but his entire demeanor transformed the instant he met her.”
“They embrace and soothe each other, not just exhibit affection while grooming one another,” Felder said. “When my friends and relatives come to visit, they often tease me about how they wish they could have a love like Buddy and Hannah.”
Hannah is, without a question, the finest thing that has ever happened to Buddy. He had to put aside his desire to be a lone wolf because of the kitten. Buddy may finally open up to others after being touched by her warmth. Felder is overjoyed to see her furbabies so devoted to one another: “Watching the relationship they’ve built together and seeing how Hannah brings out his pleasure melts my heart.”
