Two Senior Birman Cats Are Abandoned At A Shelter With A Heartbreaking Note

An elderly lady adored her 15-year-old Birman cats more than anything else.
Missy and Zipper, her cats, had been with her since they were kittens, and she had taken excellent care of them.

Things had been going well for 15 years until the wife became ill and was no longer able to care for them.
She asked family members if they knew anyone who could take them in, but no one could.

As a result, the impoverished widow was obliged to surrender them to Virginia’s Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control.
When the crew took the kitties in, they discovered a message that shattered their hearts.

Their favorite foods and snacks were included in the message. The staff was moved by the woman’s love for her kitties and was desperate to keep them together.
The shelter posted a picture of the animals on Facebook, which instantly went viral. The kitties didn’t have to wait long to find a new permanent home.

Missy and Zipper were taken in by a woman from Oregon who saw the photos and passed the message to her parents.
When the couple arrived at the shelter to meet the cats, extroverted Zipper began kissing their cheeks right away. Missy warmed up to them after a few minutes as well.
